Privacy Policy.

Effective July 18, 2026

Short version: we hold the minimum we need to run DataGauge, we don't sell your data, and we use a small set of named processors. The details are below.

What we collect.

Account

Email, name, and (optionally) profile photo you upload.

Organization

Portfolio name, members, roles, invitations, and the apps you register.

Event data

The events and subscription state your apps send us. User identifiers are opaque strings you choose - we never require or format-validate them, and we ask you not to send sensitive PII.

Usage

Standard server logs - IP, user-agent, timestamps - for security, rate limiting, and debugging.

How we use it.

To run DataGauge, authenticate you, send transactional email (magic links, OTPs, invitations, billing receipts), and provide customer support.

Sharing & processors.

We share data only with the named processors needed to operate the Service. We do not sell your data.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Events age out 90 days after they happened. Payment records, and the daily aggregates computed from your events, are kept indefinitely.

Your rights

You can delete an organization from the dashboard, which takes its apps, keys, members, and invitations with it. To close an account outright, or to get a copy of your data, email hello@datagauge.dev and we will do it by hand.

Cookies

A small number of first-party cookies, all of them for sign-in. Your display preferences stay in your browser and are never sent to us. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

You remain the controller of the end-user data you send us; DataGauge acts as your processor for that data. If you serve users in the EU, UK, or California, make sure your own privacy notice and lawful basis cover the identifiers and events you forward to us.
